Samarkand and Kokand are known for pottery and ceramics. The weaving of silk and satin is considered traditional in Fergana Valley. In Tashkent, china painting and products made of metal are produced. Over 7000 artisans are engaged in craftsmanship in Uzbekistan, producing over 1.5 million products annually. The export of artisanal products exceeds $100 million to the USA. Artisans are adapting modern techniques based on national traditions, contributing to increased competitiveness in the market
