Born in 1336 near Shahrisabz, Amir Temur became the ruler of Movarounnahr in 1370. He conquered Delhi in 1398 and defeated the Ottomans in the Battle of Ankara in 1402. His reign lasted for 35 years, and he passed away in 1405 in Samarqand
