Using authentic materials in English language teaching

This course work discusses the increasing popularity of using authentic materials in English language teaching (ELT) and its potential benefits for language learners. Authentic materials, such as newspapers, magazines, videos, and audio recordings, provide learners with exposure to real-life language use and facilitate meaningful communication. The research aims to investigate how authentic materials can be effectively utilized in ELT to enhance students' language proficiency by exploring reasons for their use, methods of selection, and adaptation.
